The Why Factory Methodolgy at AASA 2013 conference in Melbourne

27 September 2013

On Thursday, 3 October 2013, the 7th international conference of the association of architecture schools of Australasia opens with a keynote speech of Ulf Hackauf on The Why Factory Method.

While the architectural field has dramatically changed in the last 30 years, the design studio remains the main element of architecture education today. This conference questions, whether this model is still appropriate and discusses alternatives and adjustments. The Why Factory has been invited as an example for an architectural education, which challenges the existing methodology.
